Days Bay Homestay is located in the seaside suburb of Eastbourne, a short 25 minute ferry ride from the centre of Wellington City. The property is part of Days Bay and half way between the ferry terminal at Days Bay and the Eastbourne Village, about 600m away. The property is just 15 meters from high tide.

Days Bay Homestay has one suite which is located on the third floor. The view is extraordinary, with is 180 degrees sea view and facing north – towards the sun. With the north facing aspect, the property has a natural solar panel effect on the rooms, warming all rooms without the need for extra heating. All lighting is either LED or CFH, further improving the ecological footprint. The property is investigating a solar panel array for heating the spa pool.

The property was built during 2010/11. It has a traditional New Zealand design, constructed in timber with timber finishing, floors ceilings and outside boards. Being at a seaside resort, it has an access to the promenade, off-road cycling tracks and even great snorkeling in front of the property.
